SBX Sub
SBX sub extends the SessionbloX system into the low-frequency domain, offering modular bass control engineered to manage the most challenging room modes.
_____
SBX sub utökar SessionbloX-systemet med effektiv kontroll i det låga frekvensområdet – en modulär basfälla konstruerad för att hantera rummets mest svårbemästrade problem.
_____
The SBX sub extends the performance of the SessionbloX system into the low-frequency spectrum, targeting the most difficult range to control in studio environments. Engineered as a modular bass trap, the sub integrates seamlessly with core panels to balance rooms where low-end build-up and standing waves are most challenging. Mastering the placement of the SBX sub panel in a room is essential for achieving the most efficient low-frequency control. The panel must be positioned in high-pressure zones, such as walls and corners where modal energy naturally accumulates. The SBX sub is a directional membrane absorber: its composite membrane is located on the back of the unit indicated by the wave, and must face a rigid boundary to function optimally.
When placed directly against a wall or corner, the SBX sub’s membrane resonates most strongly in the 70–80 Hz region. When installed 20 cm / 8 in away from a rigid boundary, the effective air gap increases and the tuning shifts lower, making the panel most effective around 40–45 Hz. When placed 40 cm / 16 in away, the operating frequency drops to approximately 30–35 Hz. For effective low-frequency control, the SBX sub should be placed within 60-80 cm / 24-31 in of a rigid boundary. Beyond 100 cm / 40 in, its tuning falls below the useful audible bass range and efficiency is significantly reduced.
